“Mangrove Reforestation” Project at Khlong Khon Mangrove Conservation Center

Bangkok Metro Networks Limited (BMN, its subsidiary) organized the “Mangrove Reforestation” Project at Khlong Khon Mangrove Conservation Center in Samut Songkhram Province in order to restore and conserve natural resources and coastal ecosystems, increase mangrove forest areas, strengthen coastal buffers, and help reduce the impacts of coastal erosion and potential storm damage. Employee volunteers participated in the project, with a target of planting 225 mangrove trees.

The project also aimed to enhance environmental knowledge and awareness through learning about the importance of coastal ecosystems, the role of mangrove forests in maintaining ecological balance, and their contribution to water treatment, helping employees gain a better understanding of natural resource conservation and climate change adaptation.

The project achieved its defined targets, contributing to coastal ecosystem and biodiversity restoration, strengthening relationships with the local community, and promoting employee participation in environmental stewardship and conservation.
