Construction of Footbridge Connecting Communities and Agricultural Areas
Environmental

Biodiversity is connected to the provision of natural services, the way of life, and the occupations of communities. BEM realizes the importance of this and has thus considered mitigating impacts on the commutes and occupations of people in the communities. After completing the construction of the Udon Ratthaya Expressway Project, which is a structure that cuts through communities with a high volume of agricultural activities, the Company constructed a bridge to facilitate communities and local livestock operators in safely herding cattle, buffalos, or other animals to and from their communities in search of food. The footbridge also serves to preserve the livelihoods and traditional way of life of the communities.
